Future - How to Achieve Your True Destiny God's Way
You will never achieve the true destiny you were created to experience and fulfill if you are just trusting in your understanding and five physical senses. You need to go beyond yourself and your five physical senses. You need to trust in someone other than yourself. You need to trust in someone who has infinite intelligence and ability. Someone who loves you unconditionally and desires only your best. You need to trust God.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil" (Proverbs 3:5,6 KJV).
This article will teach you in 3 Steps how to wean yourself from trusting in yourself and begin trusting in God. You will enter the glorious world of faith where you will have access by faith to God's wisdom, unlimited abilities and resources allowing Him to chart your course and help you in achieving your divine destiny, a destiny that will bring glory to God. Here are the 3 steps:
Step 1 - You must be born again. To be born again means you become born of God by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Being born of God means you have become a Christian and you have received a new nature:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
If you are not saved, prayerfully and with sincerity ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and give you the grace (His willingness to release His power and ability on your behalf) to live the holy and obedient life He has called you to live. This will set you on the right path to fulfill your divine destiny.
Step 2 - You must be baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit is to be your guide through life. His work in your life is multifaceted. He is to be your helper, standby, comforter, counselor, intercessor, strengthener, advocate, guide and teacher. Being the Spirit of revelation, He will reveal Jesus Christ to you. Here are a few scriptures concerning the baptism of the Holy Spirit:
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4 KJV).
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:38,39 KJV).
One of the greatest benefits of praying in tongues is the Holy Spirit can pray the perfect prayer for those hidden weaknesses in your life that would hinder God's plan for your life. Romans 8:26,27 expounds on this important benefit of praying in tongues.
You can be saved without receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but you will never fulfill your true destiny while on earth because you will have failed to obey God. He tells us in Ephesians 5:18 to "be filled with the Spirit." You cannot be filled with the Spirit unless you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Step 3 - You must read and obey the instructions given in God's Word. The Holy Bible is your instruction manual for living on earth. It is God's love letter to you. It explains who God is, why He created all things, why you exist, why you need to be saved, what you become once you are saved, what your inheritance is as a saved child of God and what God would have you to do to please Him to fulfill your true destiny as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here are some basic things God would have you do when you become a Christian. This will please Him and begin to fulfill His true destiny for your life:
